Hi all,

I've just installed an ED boot lid garnish onto my EA.

Sounds pretty easy yes? don't you believe it.

I had to cut a heap of steel out of the back of the boot, rewire the electrics and some other bits and pieces..

end result looks really good though and as an added bonus I have 4 reverse lights now.. its really bright...

anyway, I'll post pics soon.. have some new clear tail lights coming also which should look even better.

I expected it to take me about an hour all up when I first had the idea..
It ended up taking at least 3 times that.... but worth it I think. (my old ghia garnish had cracked and faded.)

yeah I know.. but that presumes that you can find one with the same colour and the same amount of fading...

Also, I didn't think it was gonna be that hard when I started.

Final result is great though and I now have 4 reverse lights, just went out and tried them in the dark and it was really bright when in reverse now.. great for the reverse camera actually.

the EA rear garnish to me looks very cheap in how ford did it.

just make sure you have it so when it rains or you wash your car that water dont get in were you had to cut the bootlid for the rev lights.
