Ok. I have noticed on a few fords that the badge is red as opposed to the typical blue badge.
I think a cool mod would be to swap around the blue oval badge for a red ford one. Would look cool on an XR with the matching red stripe.
Can anyone tell me which models came out with a red ford badge? That would be a great help when I go down to the wreckers.
Also, to save me some time, I will ask wether the rear ford badge on my EF is glued on, alternatly does it have a 'pin' to help it hold into the pannel. Will removing the rear ford badge leave my pannel with a hole in it?
Will post pics once mod is done (provided its viable)

As far as i know i have never heard of the red ford oval... I read here somewhere that there might be 2 screws holding in the rear ford logo so just be careful there.

Or they could be just stuck down with an adhesive glue.

Good luck

I have a feind who use to work for a dealer and they ues to get some badges and remove the tape and rub the backs. It would eventualy rub through the blue and leave the clear and chrome ford behind. Then they painted it what ever colour they wanted.

I have yet to find the same badges a I would like to make mine white and I have an idea with a light.

All the non-blue badges are aftermarket, most are gotten from the USA. There you can also get the light up ones aswell! Some of the websites sell them...

I've never seen a red ford badge

That said, I had a look on ebay and found this one

You'll have to grab them from the US
I've seen red badges on an import. I don't like them.
One of the reasons why I was drawn to Fords over Holedons when I was young was that Ford is blue and Holedon is red, and blue is my favourite colour, and I wasn't a big fan of red

Blue is my favorite colour too. But it would be a cool mod to have a red badge.

@Tommo - Yeah that escort was what gave me the inspiration (pic in 6 cylinder workshop). Can you tell me wether the red badge came standard on the car.

Can anyone confirm that there are two holes holding the rear ford logo on my EF? As I dont want to take the badge off only to find that there are holes which may eventualy rust through.

Thats deep chicken, very deep. Why it was the fact that my car was white that made me go for it. Colours are so meaningful!
