Well is dosn't happen to me very often but i've had a bit of luck in the last few days.
Firstly i was given an EA fairmont, which is not in bad condition apart from the rust in the sills. Its on gas and runs fine and i have some ed xr wheels to put on it,off my wagon.
Then today i was at the wreckers and found some sprint side skirts and a rear lip (i can make fibreglass ones but a real one is still better).
The side skirts cost me $30.00 for the pair and the lip on a bootlid was $50.00.
The plan is to clean the ea up with the wheels, cover the sills ( and rust ) with the skirts and put a front and rear spoiler on it and then just drive it so i can put my wagon away and not drive it as much.
Just a question but does anyone know what that ugly thing on the ea intake snorkle is for or can i piss it off and put my ed one on it.

Fraser.

That ugly thing on the snorkel i snapped off the other day for fun after putting my XH snorkle on..

When i snapped it off i noticed it seemed to do nothing at all apart from look ugly, although there are 2 smallish holes it covers.. i have no idea why its there..

yeah i have a cracked out here, the only thing i csn think of is air turbulance to mix up the air abit, but when it hits the filter it will slow down and be rather pointless. i too have no idea why its there

Yep, its a resonance chamber to reduce the intake noise. Wont really affect performance removing it though

these are pics i took today, wheels i already had of my wagon.all up to this point owes me $100.00.
Runs really good and is on gas, just need some lower springs as it handles like a boat.I might end up giving the whole thing a cheap and nasty respray in the same color in stead of just painting the bootlid and side skirts as the color match would be s**t.
