Im gonna ask a question which might sound very strange..... with the sequential scoop do u still keep the normal intake with the snorkel???? and the sequential is just an added bonus??

yes and no.

ram air induction wise i'd say half a yes as your throwing more air in witha k&n/green or redline pod filter setup properly.

but you also can add to that from air underneath the box frm outside too!

guessing there is no chance that these will fit a fairmont bonnet?

havin a look today looks liek it would sit right where the hump the the bonnet starts.. and probably could be part of the bonnet frame right below it? (cant tell on mine, had a protector)

how do you go as for gettin water right into your airbox? couldnt gettin a large sum of water in right onto your filter be bad?

yeah it does look alright... thanks .. amazing what a set of wheels can do.. as you can see my XR before a scoop job and wheels..

Image

would look better if it was lower tho... 8-)

For me the jury is still out on any HP gains. It seems to love it after it hits second gear, but it seems a bit sluggish off the paint. Maybe its just me.. maybe its the BTR.. maybe its the maxflow MAF.. who knows, it sucking alot but seems to be not generating much power.. maybe needs a tune up! only a future dyno visit will tell. .. hopefully after xmas!!

As far as water goes, well its summer atm, so minimal rain!! and the pod sits far enough in the box i assume that there will be minimal water leaks. Most of it will pool onto the shadecloth i have covering the scoop atm, and what does leak thru will run off the silver pipe you see, and simply drain away, and evaporate within the box thru a couple lil holes.... well thats how i see it anyway... im no physisist

uglybob.. ive been following ur thread for a while, i wish you luck.. your car will look sweet as when you scoop it up!!

for anybody else, drop radek an email he was very helpful and responsive with the job, i couldnt be happier with my bits.. altho i thank pierre for my scoop..

was a bit of an expensive trial tho

$110 scoop
$110 lid
$79 POD filter k&n
$28 V8 MAF adaptor plate
$12 Silver angle bent pipe
$8 rubber neck adaptor
$6 x2 hoseclamps
= $353

Looks cool tho .. and all for the same $$$ as an SS inductions kit.. + K&N filter i think.. each to thier own.
