hi guys. i have a 2000 falcon futura which of course has the basic single tone horn that you know is a ford one when you hear it.

it's a disgusting noise when you beep at someone, and it's even worse since (i think) water has made its way into the siren. or something. it now sounds like its choking when u blow the horn.

how much would it cost to purchase a dual tone horn from ford? or is there somewhere else i can buy these that are fittable to the AU2 futura?

something like the fairlane horn sounds like. and i think the new XR8s have them too.

thanks guys.

Get a high and low horn from and auto store and just wire them in there maybe?
How often do you use your horn that this matters to you?

well the alarm system that i have is linked to the horn which sets the horn blowing (just the same as those factory alarms and panic alarms) and a siren in the background.

and driving around the gold coast on a saturday night gets pretty risky. esecially when last night a lady hit the breaks to change lanes and she decided to make her decision when the intersection was a mere 10 meters from her. so she changes lanes inconveniently and then re decides, swerving straight back infront of me without looking or indicating. she didnt get the picture until i complimented her driving with holding the horn in until she moved out of the bloody way. ive had my Ls for only weeks, and i have more commonsense than people who have driven for 30 years???

anywho... how much are these high and low horns worth?

The loom is even there on AU's, they just plug straight in. My AU had a DF LTD horn.

For $30, you can buy a cheap set of twin air horns, $35 will buy you a triple set.

You can also buy an electric horn new, aftermarket for $20.
