Some years ago I reversed my car into a telegraph pole.
 No damage done just the rear bumper was scuffed and badly scratched paintwork.I had one of those touch-up guy types fix the paint work on the bumper, but he had just bought the francise and didn't know ow to mix the pearl colors right. Anyway to cut a long story short he overdid the metallic or silver or whatever and now when ever the car has not been polished or washed for a while this white sort of haze keeps appearing. Could someone give me any ideas on ridding me of this eye sore on my rear bumper. It looks so awful on a black car.

No takers ?? I can't believe it - you guys are so talented and I can't believe that this would stump those who are experienced in the ways of auto paintwork.

The white haze would be where he blended the clear coat, there are no differences in mixing colours with pearls so he cant really stuff up there, I would suggest giving it a good compound up and then polish it.

I'd reckon some Menzerna powergloss, intensive polish and new ceramiclear finishing polish would do an awesome job on that

yeah by the sounds of it, i would have to say that it is to do the clear being blended aswell, if it feels ruff compared to your other panels then this is most likely it. Or it could be a s**t clear, if so just scuff it up with 2000 and re-clear it.
