Hi guys,

I just wanted to get some feedback around the 2 different companies.
I am after a kit for XT falcon. I will be getting a BA typhoon kit.
I just wanted to know if there was any major difference between the 2 compaines as they both look like quality kits however SSV are almost double in cost?

thanks in advance

hey mate, dont know what fibre sports are like but trust me when it comes time to get a bodykit buy the better quality to start with. you will pay alot less in fitting and painting plus it will look ten times better when its done. Check my gallery, the front, bonnet and side skirts are all ssv, the rear bar is still the phat customs end which was s**t house and you can see the difference - just look at the gaps. Check the modded au/ba/bf thread - There is also alot of pics of my car with the phat customs front as well as the ssv, there are also pics of fordbacrazy who fitted the full phat customs phoon kit so you can compare all the differences

You do pay alot more for ssv but they have been around for like 20 years, they make very high quality products which fit soo much better than the cheaper kits.

It does all come down to your budget, when i went for the second round i spared no expense because i know the problems and issues my panel beater had with making the phat customs kit fit and look half decent, albeit going genuine where the front and rear bar is like 3k each, skirts are like just under 2k each

Cheers

Phil

SSV is just the reseller , their stuff is made elsewhere for them.
My old man had one of their VN 5.0 kitted ex cop cars when they still did entire cars. They were Ken and Steve White back then.
I have bought from Fibre Sports before and found them to be pretty damn good.

Yeah Steve's still there - not sure about Ken, yeah I know they are a reseller, I would really love to know who their supplier is lol,

as for fibre sports I will leave others to comment on them as I don't know anything about them, all i know is ssv got my vote :)

I've used stuff from both SSV and Fibresports (back when they were AWC).

Quality from both is great.

Although it appears for some time now fibresports (since they changed names) isn't responding to emails. Bad move in my book. I've money ready to get more CF stuff, but they aren't talking to me. So no $ for them.

Try New Gel in Canberra, their work is brilliant. SSV is just a reseller, that is why their stuff is more expensive.

A friend of mine and member on here had a EB with a full EB GT hit from fibresports and i must admit the quality was damn good and priced nicely for the quality.

In saying this i will be getting a few bits for the lane from fibresports due to the slight cheaper price.

i would recommend fibresports they specialize in ford products. and manufacture for most off the top resellers. Including ssv
I will be getting my fg kit there,

i have bought the gt kit from fibresports and found the kit nice and easy to fit, there are other members here that we got there kits for and it has been good quality.

I'll agree with that. I bought my EL/foon rear bar off them. No issues with the quality or fitment. Well priced too. I think that I paid $60 for the rear bar to be freighted from Canberra to Campbelltown.

I bought a full kit from Fibresport and it was a fantastic fit and overall good experience. The panel beater gave me a range for the price of paint and fit dependant on difficulty of fit and once completed he charged the lowest in the range due to the ease of fitment.
