Hey

about a month ago someone kindly reversed into my car and knocked the front bumper loose so that it was hanging on the left side. to stop it flapping i threw some clear fibrous tape on it to get me by for a while and now that i have taken the tape off to attmpt to fix it its left a claer layer off tape beneath the fibres which wont budge. i trude dissolving it in water and turps and then tried to wash it off but still no dice. if anyone has any suggestions they would be muchly apprecioated.

Cheers

I would go to your friendly Super Cheap (or equivalent) and buy some Wax and Grease remover and have a shot at it with that, I might take a while but it should do the job for you. :)

Super Cheap will have it, comes in Spray cans and also paint on. The brand is Septone. It's alright to use.

Try some WD 40. Yes i know its a lubricant but it also says on the can it has multi purposes and it does have the potential to remove glue residue. I have used it for this purpose. 8-)

methalated spirits will remove with no residue, might need to use elbow grease to help remove but should come off with rag
