Found some interesting reading looking for the comparison's between the Lane and LTD. Lucky for me, I bought my lane from the original owner who just happened to work for ford as the sales manager at the time and it was his company car, and it has been mostly optioned up to LTD spec :D Only things missing from the standard inclusions of the LTD are mainly cosmetic interior such as Woodgrain dash, electric front seats and leather trim. Not sure on the LSD though. Mine even has the LTD bonnet :D . Just waiting for Dave to sell his box so that I can go for a run to Sydney and attack his interior for the missing links :P Then I can slap on the rear LTD badge and still get the benefit of cheaper insurance, rego etc.

It bloody stopped raining for 5 minutes. So I put the new manifold badge on and removed the old cover.

At least the old cover hid most of the messy cabling and hoses. Got my work cut out sorting this engine bay out

gotta be around here lately, you know what they say "make hay while the sun shines".......but seriously dude, it was raining  forgot to take before shot but didn't matter as I had a few other pics, just happened to pick one before LPG was fitted :P The sunny day in the first shot was also a dead giveaway, haven't seen that around much lately

actually the EA-ED drivers can still buy their strips new from ford and rare spares. however the thicher fairlane strips arnt available. i have actually got a way around this, speak to a signwriter and get them to do the strips for you in chrome vinyl. im getting this done once i paint my strips black.

that way its chrome and will last way longer then the factory crap

Yeah! I'm having the same problem, my chrome striping on the side moulds are peeling bad. There was a roll big enough to do a whole lane front to back on ebay recently, but went for some rediculous amout :x almost as hard to get as woodgrain
