thanks Cav, yeah i got sick of the standard looking lights, and i think it gives it a bit more of a meaner stance. next weekend ill have a crack at the corner indicators, but i need to get inside it, which i think means prying off the front cover and glueing it back once done....
ill let ya's know how it goes

okay guys, done the indicators now... not exactly how i planned it, but imho i reckon it looks a lot better than the clear indicators.. let me know what ya think! all up this mod cost $80 for the two light assy's, and $15 for spray (with plenty left over)

I guess on the EF/EL's you'd need some new/cleaner headlights. Not the slighty yellow'ed out ones 
So you just used normal black paint? You use anything to cover the chrome bits?

haha yeah, it was a 40 degree day, and with a hangover, i didnt feel much like toying around with the repeaters to get them the right way
as the clip was hitting something in the hole, and wouldnt clip in properly... ive just left it, might change it around one day...
as for the painting, i used tape that doesnt have much adhesive to it so it didnt ruin the reflective/chrome parts of the light, i used Engine enamel black, so that it could stand the heat of the lights... and i tinted the very edges of the lens with Night Shades (the stuff people have been using for their taillights)

DDave whats with the multi-colour engine bay? blue rockercover and airbox lid - green inside of the scoop and dark green heat cover on the exhaust.

good question... i should ask myself the same question!
it was a result of leftover engine enamel spray from my mate, a few bored hours, and a pretty standard looking bay to start with, including a rocker cover needing a good sand back. so somehow, i have made it worse
the snorkel will either be replaced, or removed if i end up throwing in a pod (doubtful ill do that though), rocker cover will be stripped back, or changed with the EF/EL/AU rocker cover and either sprayed, or chromed and the exhaust guard will be removed once this exhaust gets fitted

Heyo,
Those look good guys! We use regular automotive black paint and find the it holds up pretty well to the heat. (I put 140w bulbs in my ZK fairlane and found that the heat cracked the glass but the paint was still ok, i put 100w bulbs back in and the glass seems to be holding out well, as is the paint.) Also, a little tip: As with any spraypainting work, make sure the surface you are sparying is spotlessly clean and free from grease, oil or dust. We clean everything with thinners before painting. I'll admit theres nothing special or hard about darkend headlights that we sell on ebay. We mainly cater for people who want a different look but dont have the time or the confidence to screw around pulling apart their headlights. From the quality of the custom cluster faces ive bought from Cruizin, to what ive heard about the rest of their work, they are a top Modified-Parts supplier!! im just the kind of person who, if i believe it can be done properly and cleanly, ill do it myself, otherwise ill be straight to Cruizin! as far as the paint goes, i figured safe is better than sorry... and it didnt cost much more. quality work Rene

i painted my 3.9 rocker cover black (engine enamel) and it me out bloody great and i only cleaned it with petrol. i should have sanded the whole thing as the surface isnt 100% however still looks top notch. i even have mates asking for me to do theirs
 i still need to workout how to take the paint off the raised sections of the covers so they look stock. was also thinking of painting the raised sections nother colour eg. black cover red fins. but not sure how to go about it
