Hi everyone!

I was just wondering - did a '95 EF Fairmont sedan come out with spoiler from factory?

Previous owner has added one to my Fairmont, but it doesn't look right (don't know where he got it from), and I have one in the shed that I believe came off an XR6 which is nicer looking... Just wondering if I should bother painting the XR one and putting that on, or replacing the bootlid and being spoilerless.

The main thing that concerns me is the boot slams shut with the spoiler on, as if it wasn't designed to have one so doesn't have enough support... I could be wrong though

Sounds like time for new boot struts. :)

As far as I'm aware it only has the torsion bars, not struts - didn't realise it was meant to have struts  Apart from my old EA, I only ever had wagons in the past

Well looks like I'm wrong again  Just had a look and it does have struts - just not in a place I've ever seen boot struts before

Stick your head in the boot you will see a gas strut either side.
You can buy the struts for spoiler or without spoiler. :)
