Hi all,

I was wandering if anyone knew of a place that fits towbar's to cars. I have bought one but unfortunately im not the most technical bloke going around and i feel that i would mess up more than i would fix.

I live in S.E Melbourne so somewhere close would be nice.

Otherwise

If someone has developed an 'idiots' guide to installing one i would love to hear from you.

Thanks

Zacha001

Look at the Hayman Reese website. It lists a ton of installers across Melbourne.

And they are piss easy to install.. If its a 1600kg bar, its 6 bolts.

Agreed, if you have a manual it shows you how to drop your bumper which is like 10 bolts, take the tongue off the towbar then 6 bolts on, pop out the blanking plate on the bumper, if you have the proper ford loom unplug the old loom plug in a new one and hook up your number plate light again, throw the bumper back on, bolt the tongue on and screw the wiring harness in place.
throw a trailer on and start towing.

It will come off with the rear bar.

Only problem is the towbar itself. Some of them have to be designed for use on a Falcon with a Kit. If they aren't the tongue sits in too close to the body it may be unusable...

So I trust you bought a bar that was suited for a kitted EF?

I hope so.

I went to Ferntree Gully Salvage and asked for a Tow Bar for a EL Fairmont.
