G'day, I was just wondering what EA-ED series vehicles had body coloured side strips?

I've seen a NCII Fairlane Ghia with body coloured moulds and some without, so it's obviously not just a high-end model thing, and the NCII was the last of the early E-series..

Is it a factory option?

Cheers

All the Ghia boxcars I have seen have colour coded side stripes.

My old EB Fairmont also had them, but I think it was optioned that way, as most Fairmonts have the grey molds.

Cheers

EA Ghias didn't have colour coded. The Fairmont ones were most likely done aftermarket.

Basically EB-ED Ghias had colourcoded as did EB GT. DC LTD got full colourcoding as did NCII Fairlane Ghia (remember Fairlane and Fairlane Ghia were 2 different models on NC)

No EA had them as standard, I was working at a Ford dealer when these came out and for some unknown reason people had them painted.

Not sure about the EB/ED and so I can't comment on them. I do have a pic of a BRAND new EB GT and it has colour coded moulds.

Yeah but I could have sworn I had seen an NCII ghia with them and one without.. But I guess I must have been mistaken.
