Hi Folks,
I have an 97 Gli EL Falcon and I just picked up a set of cheap 15" Snowflakes. I've been trying to find out what wheel nuts I need to fit these wheels with no definite answer. Are either of these correct: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ford-Falcon- ... 500wt_1054 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ford-Falcon- ... 500wt_1054 I was told that these were the correct nuts, but I've also been told that normal alloy wheel nuts will work (I have steel rims at the mo so won't work)  Alternatively, does anyone have any nuts to suit who would be willing to sell them at reasonable money?! |

The wheel nut pictured is the correct one for snowflakes, Don't let anyone tell you different...It's what I was using when I had snowflakes on my ED.

my local wrecker charges $1.20 a long shank chamfered ended wheel nut, so have a look around a couple of wreckers and see what you can find.....

They were available in chrome and black. Most wreckers should have them but if not try a local tyre place that stocks mag wheels, They may be able to get some or point you in the right direction.

They look identicle to the wheel nuts I used with the snowflake wheels on my old EA. You'll see the thinner bit down the bottom actually going into the wheel more than the rest.
My local wreckers actually allowed me to walk around picking wheel nuts out of mud and gave them too me for free.. grabbed a set and a half.. beats paying $30 for a set.

Cheers guys, I'll have to see if I can find some wreckers around here. Moving city soon so don't want to lug these in the back along with a load of other stuff!! The guy I bought these from has offered me a set for $20 but he's 200km away! I paid $50 for the wheels.

Ask the bloke if he will post the wheel nuts....Although 20 wheel nuts weigh a bit it still might be cheaper like that rather than getting them from a wreckers yard.

FYI normal alloy wheel nuts will work

I've heard that they will work but that they aren't as safe as the proper ones. I tried them on and very little of the wheel stud was protruding which made me think that the sleeved ones are definitely correct.
