hi guys
as the title says. wher can i buy sickaflex? im assuming a hardware like bunnings ect.. or is it something i need to get from a boating shop ect? im going to put cosworth vents on my bonnet and ive heard sickaflex is a good thing to use?? |

You can get it at Bunnings. That's where I got mine.
Sikiflex is great but messy. I used it on my lip spoiler, and it's got it sitting nice and flat. I used it on a few other areas too.

Most auto stores sell the black automative sikalfex - I'm assuming this is the one your chasing, as there are a variety of types of Sikaflex - it's a brand, kind of like saying I'm looking for a Ford, when your specifically after a Falcon...
Down here we have a sikaflex shop near were I work - I don't know if these exist elsewhere or if it's there head office or what, I've never actually been in there, but I didn't think that they had a range large enough to warrant a shop specific to them... |

As everyone has said, Bunnings has it...make sure you get Sikaflex 11FC, it comes in black, white or grey colours...messy and sticky stuff, but works well...cheers Linz. |

cool thanks
bunnings it is! it needs to be strong as its for bonnet vents. i dont want them flying off on the freeway lol i tried repco on my way home today and they didnt have it. i just didnt want to drive around from one shop to another looking for the stuff.. |

yeah troy get it at bunny's that's where i get mine and nothing has fall'n off my car yet! lol

i use sickaflex at work everyyyyy day. im telling u, and please take me seriously. DONT TRY AND USE WATER TO CLEAN UP..... or your fingers... it will destroy it. and it is impossible (almost) to clean up.... be cery cery careful with it lol... we dont use the sicka in the cardboard tubes, that fit into a caulking gun.
we buy sicka in a sausage  that u put into a mastik gun.. much easier to use.. but then u will have to buy 1. so yeh caulking gun is ur path i guess. and sicka will hold a ship together. dont kno why the didnt build the titanic like that

sikaflex is what most people use to hold the 'bump' strips on the side of their cars on with. its fkn messy. I dont really know how to clean it properly, so i'll be interested to find that out.

the best way to clean up is wax and grease remover i had to do the metal joins in the car after going back to bare metal i got some on a spot i did not need it on and my brother is a panel beater and spray painter he said wax and grease remover works best to clean up with

as above use wax n grease remover (prepsol), but acetone or thinners works just as well.. (beware or damaging paint tho).
i used to use it every day also. awesome product.. very strong but messy as hell. -mitch

acetone works a treat for cleaning it up, but it takes the paint too after a while.
