Can be done, not many places do it, but it is normally not legal by ADR's.

In most cases no, contact Vic roads technical authority or a Vic approved engineer, even if it was done properly and safe it would be still be safe to say it will be classed as illegal.

It woudl need to be x-rayed to ensure they are safe, which is expensive, letalone the cost to get someone to weld it in the first place.
Cheaper to get a set of 3 piece wheels.

it should be plenty safe enough! not sure how much it will warp though. Id sell off your koyas and get the same rims but wider though?

yeh after the costs in engineering, if ya have to go thru xrays i guess yeh youd have too....and alike a set of expensive 3 peice wide as rims would still be cheaper most likey stronger and safer any ways...i wont say legal :P

Sell your rims and get widepack starcorp fusions.. they look exactly the same except they come 8.5" wide on front, and 9.5" wide on back. They don't come in black like yours but it'd still be cheaper to buy them and get the centred sprayed black.
