Hi im not sure if this is supposed to be in inteerior or exteerior but i havent had much luck finding it on either.

So i was in supercheap yesterday, and the day before that, and the day before that(it sux having one next to the depot for work) and i noticed they got a d.i.y. tinting film there. My question is does anyone know if these are any good? also how difficult is it to put it on urself? i take it means removing the side windows? and the rear window of the ute? how would i go about that? make a stencil and cut it out to fit and be very bloody carefull?
Cheers.
Scotty.

I have done it before years ago on my TRX and it came up awesome. I only stuffed up one when the wind blew the film as I was applying it. If I do it again I will take the windows out first cept the cargo area in the tailgate. Inside the garage would help of course. I will try and find a photo and scan it.

I've done 2 cars (VH commo & EB) using the supercheap film. Easy to work with and gives a great result.
Do it indoors if you can, slightest breath of wind can stuff up a good job. Use plenty of moisture (coupla drops of car wash in a spray bottle of water) to keep things moving smoothly when it comes to removing air bubbles. Two great tools I found for doing this are a hobby scalpel, makes cutting and trimming so easy, and a shower squeegee from woolies. It's got a hard plastic, moulded handle with a soft silicon scraper bit, cost about 2 bucks and works a treat.
