I've seen some EL's with wire or a mesh in chrome in the grill area. Where would I get this mesh or wire from and how hard is it to fit.
Thanks in advance.

I did it on my EF XR8, it's a bit of a C*** to do although it may be easier on Non-xrs, the mesh costs about $30 from super cheap or autobarn. I'll post pics of it soon.

 Um nope. I had a close look at one on a car near my work. Definetly a Gli. It looked like the plastic ford emblem and surround had been removed and the mesh placed over the plastic grill underneath.

Go down to Supercheap or autobarn they've got the grills for around $30, they've got em in a few colours (red, blue, silver, black). Basically you'll have to take the front bumper off which is a bit of a pain just to get the grill in. When you buy the grill it'll come in a nice long rectangle piece and you just basically cut to size.

I had to pop rivet the 2 little side ones, and screwed in the middle one which is sturdy as hell.

Wow, nice, mesh jobs usually look crap, but that looks real good. Keep that in mind (thread author), it's likely to look crap.
