when i Saw an XH ute the other day and I was wondering if the bonnet would fit an EF as the fronts are the same. It'd look cool with that big lump they have.

I think they might be different around the windscreen area? Not sure

Didn't think it would, I guess it'd only be the front that'd fit, but it'd be awsome if it went on.

Afaik, they will fit, as the front end is interhcngeable between the sedans/utes/wagons, but if you really wanted to be sure you could sort of measure one up?

No, it's only the top section, from what I've read, the XH is basically an XD with an EF front end from the engine firewall forward - because I know my ute has the EF suspension, etc.
The XH bonnet also differs because it doesn't have the EF's rounded 'bulge', it rather has 'steps' - if you have a look at the front cover of the XH owners handbook I have in my photo gallery, you'll understand what I'm saying.
Incidently, I have wondered how an EL front would look on my ute - I have the advantage of comparison  Too much work, and the wiper area issue comes into it as well . . . .

they arent interchangeable, the bonnet, guards and bumper are unique to XH's, not too sure about the headlights

the bumper and headlights are the only things interchangable.
