I broke the little knob on my light switch on my EL fairmont, called ford up and they said it was $26 for a little bit on plastic! I know it will be cheaper at the wreckers but then I'll be buying one thats just as old an brittle as mine, just wonted to b**ch and also ask if anyone else has broken theres is it a common problem??

what i hate more is private sellers asking wrecker prices for their stuff, but they dont have to pay their workers wages or rent or tax etc...

on the is this common thing, i have a mate who borrowed another mates EF, and he broke thats cars headlight switch

so when he was with another guy who had an EF as well, he asked to borrow his switch to turn on the first cars headlights (yeah i know) and broke that cars one as well!!

i dont allow him near my car!!

and on the nicking s**t from the wreckers, they are in business to make a living. and yeah sure they charge too much for some bits, but that doesnt give you the right to steal things.

if you are after a really little bit and are nice to them quite often they'll give it to for nothing or next too

Where? The one in kenwick closed down last year. Is there another one about?

I hate having to go through the quokka and phone around just to find some simple part (not to mention driving out to the middle of nowhere only to find that people don't know what they have. "No that's an EA, not an XF thanks for wasting an hour or my time"). I would happily pay wrecker prices to be able to just rock up and get what I need.
