Hi Guys, I'm looking at replacing my standard t-bar handle on my XH XR6 ute with a blue/black leather one which suit the AU's. Does anyone know how to mod the handle, as the XH has a lock nut at the bottom and the AU screws on...I believe? I've been in touch with Ferntree and they can supply the handle, but I just ned to know if it can be modified to suit???????

AU handles don't screw straight onto the EF/EL thread pattern for the shifter handles. but, there is a way to do it - you need to drill out some of the insides - one guy on here posted instructions - personally, i looked at it, but its quite a lot of effort - better off getting a handle custom wrapped for ~$110 mark, in whatever style/colour etc you want! i think i have the instructions around here somewhere - i'll have a look for ya

that thread should give you a very good idea of the effort/work involved to get it fitted! 8-)

Thanks UglyBob, appreciate your time and following this up for me. I have just send Mick an email to see if he still have the instructions to see how difficult it is. Thanks again. Regards Chris.
