FSC shouldn't be too much of a hassle, but how did you get the room to drill the 3 x BDM mounting holes (particularly the back one) ??

Is this the a complete dash loom? It looks like it but I havent had a chance to look into it much yet, i wont be doing the mod until the 28th Dec.
Can't wait to get stuck into it! I'm guessing it'll take me a couple of days...got someone helping me so hoping all will go smoothly.

Quite a few cut off wires here and there, hopefully I can find where they go!?

LOL thanks...sounds promising for me then eh!

Im guessing this loom will be from a Fairmont or Ghia in which case, there will be a few connectors and stuff that wont be used...Im just worried about the wires that have been cut at the ends...will be fun finding where the hell they go....

If anyone who has done this mod has any pics that might be of help, I would VERY much appreciate seeing them!

Cheers

Can you get better pics of the bits that are cut off, I may be able to identify them for you. As I've put together a very detailed loom doco when I did mine.

OK got some pics of the areas I am unsure of....these may become obvious to me as I install it, but looking at it as it is now, I just want to ask some questions about things I think may not be clear to myself when installing it...

1 - The wires that are cut off are these ones...they are seperate to the main loom, just tied to the loom...not sure what it is but that small silver box may be a clue? Not to sure whjat is it, it says 12V 20A on it...

ImageImageImage

2 - NEXT, where will these 2 vaccuum lines go?

Image

3 - NEXT, where will these two big connectors and one small vaccuum line go go...of the 2 big ones, one is vaccuum lines, one electrical connectors....

ImageImage

4 - Where will this vaccuum line go?

Image

5 - LASTLY these 2 that are part of the main vaccuum loom, where do these go?

Image

If you can help with any of these I would be very much appreciated!

Cheers!

2. Black vaccy line hooks up to another black hose which hooks up to the CC dash unit at the bottom - it draws air over the temp sensor - if you look through the hole in the bottom rear of the cc unit, you'll see the sensor - looks like a capacitor. I pulled my 2 installation looms out of the donor cars, and luckily this hose was laying in the cars. It has a larger end which slips over a black click on component. From a wreckers, the dash unit gets pulled first, so the hose may disappear along with it.

Green line goes to the air inlet actuator - over above the left kickpanel.

I'd say it would be wise to view the doco photos, along with datamine's photo collection.

Hmm....ok if thats the case then that is missing...

I had a look at the CC unit and can see the hole that you mean....I reckon I could bodge something up from the vaccuum lines I'll be pulling out of the current aircon controls...

datamines website isnt working just now, hope its back up soon!

Thanks for the info
