Just wanna see what the parcel shelf is like when there is a 8" free air sub in there. I am worried about doing it because of the hump for the brake like.
Post some pics up.

I've got a 10" in that spot and there is no issue with the brake light. 8-)

The premo sound set-up comes with an 8" there, so no there wont be a problem

I am interested in this too. I have been thinking about adding a sub in there in my car.

I'd love to see pics too.

If there is currently no hole for it and making a hole for it requires cutting a whole in the metal shelf, that would fail a roady, so just be carful with how u go about it.

There is a 8" hole there for premo sound in the lanes and fairmont ghia's.

You could easily fit a 10" with a spacer but the issue i seen if that the hump for the brake light goes over the hole slightly.

I just want to see pics of peoples installes.

the hump doesn't go over the hole...there is no hump over the hole even if it doesn't have a premium sound system in it. just cut the carpet and slap the 8" in there...if you want to go stealth screw an 8" or 10" sub from underneath the shelf. pull the carpet from the parcel shelf and you'll see the hump goes no where near the hole.

Hate to tell you phong but the hump goes right over the top of the hole. I went to put an 8" free-to-air in my parcel shelf a little while ago but gave up as soon as I noticed the knife that I stuck through from underneath my parcel shelf came through right in the humpiest part of the hump! I would like to see how people have done it.

I didn't have a hump there...then again mine is a Fairmont....You are talking about the centre rear light hump yeah?...hmmm maybe i didn't notice it that much when I made my custom parcel shelf.

I'm certain it wasn't in the way....ah wells guess I was wrong.

Thats what im talking about. The GLi/Futura MUST be different to the Fairmont/Fairlanes.

Just want to see what people have done.

I reckon the Fairmonts must have a different parcel shelf to accomodate the possibility of a sub. No GLis/Futuras have subs as standard so they didn't need a parcel shelf like that
