Hey Guys,
Anyone experienced one of these Sat Nav displays with very dull backlighting? Is the contrast/brightness adjustable, or is there a chance this one is f**k? Any idea on how much they are to replace? Either from ford or a wrecker.. Cheers

Nah, just trying to figure out this issue before I buy it. The guy's not letting it go at bargain basement price, so I wanna make sure everything is working before I purchase

Dunno, try going to a dealer that is selling an AU LTD and checking that out.

Thats the issue. There's only 1 AUII LTD in Sydney for sale at the moment that I can find between Trading post, carsales and eBay

Talk to 012 on FFAU. He has a TS50 with Sat Nav afaik.

Different system. 012's sat nav is from a T1, so its a seperate unit that sits under the cigarette lighter. IIRC AUII/AUIII LTD sat nav is intergrated into the dash with a large colour display. |

Hey Mate, As per my original post - I'm looking at purchasing an AUII LTD with the Sat Nav, and the screen appears VERY dull compared to those which I've seen in photos. I'm assuming they go darker when you turn on the headlights, perhaps the brighter backlight isn't working.. who knows.

there is a setting on the sta nav that u set up so that it auto dims with darkness, or it can be sst to dim or bright.

Ah! Ok, thats what I needed to know. I'll have a play with it again if/when I go back to look at the car
