hi , can anyone tell me how to remove the door trim on the au111 because at the moment the door wont stay closed at all , just swings in the breeze. That little malfunction was caused by someone pulling on the door handle from the inside the same time someone was pulling on the outside handle .So it feels like the striker is stuck open??

Also try just opening and closing the inside and outside handles a few times.

I tried all that guys but no luck. even disconnected the battery and had me fingers crossed. All the old fords ive had were easy , xd , xf and me trusty xh ute but this is the mrs car and i dont want to break the trim trying to force it off otherwise she'll have my nuts , its her pride and joy. has anyone had the same trouble? Our nearest ford dealer is 900k away and the mechanics up here are only good for changing oils anything else is to hard lol.

To remove the door trim, you need to undo the screws that are around the perimeter. Most of the screws should have a little 10mm plastic cap on them. The ones on the side don't I tink.

Then from memory you might have to remove the speaker grill and a few caps as there are 2 I think 10mm bolts under those. Once those are off, you should be able to gently work your way around the trim and unclip it. If there are any screws left you will know!

what type of car?

if it has elec windows you will need to lever the power window controls out, there is a 10mm bolt under there. 2 screws on the right side. a cap covered screw bottom left. another 10mm bolt above the speaker under the badge (if u have a badge - depends on model). then lever off the interior door handle plastic and another 10mm bolt under there, then she'll just lift off

if non elec windows then u need to take the winder off (was there an au3 that had manual fronts??)

Yeah I didnt think so. But those XL utes didnt even have A/C standard as far as I can remember.

Took me a fair bit of struggling to take them off first time. Oh, and also, you have to remove the central locking peg (just grab and lift off)
