I've just gone through the document at http://www.fordmods.com/forums/documents.php?doc=36 and wanted to offer the following comments.

(1) It is suggested that rather than using a screwdriver or metal knife, that a disposable plastic knife be used to prize open the upper console trim segment.

(2) The Analogue Clock is powered and controlled directly by the BEM/H Module. Most base Falcons are fitted with the BEM/L. You'll have a BEM/H if you have one of the following:
(a) Automatic Climate Control
(b) Auto headlights ON/Off feature.

The BEM/H also provides for things like Memory Seat/Pedals and a 1.2 second auto window washer timer.

It would appear that in order to have the clock wiring harness in place, your vehicle would have had to have been shipped with either 2a or 2b or both.

Now, I have a 2003 BA XR8, and I know I have a BEM/L (or at this point, in the absence of both 2a or 2b, that is the current assumption until I can check otherwise). But I have Premium Audio installed, and so the wiring harness for such things as the footwell lights are in place. I'll check one day to see if there is a clock connector in there.
