Does anyone know of a relliable place in Adelaide to have a BA Fairmont sunglass holder installed in a BA XT?
Been to a couple of crash repairers but they will not touch it.
I would attempt to do it myself but there is a bit of messing around to install.

After talking to FTG Auto Salvage, they told me the sunglass holders break real easy. Sort off turn me off the idea.

Fords price, supply only, was $250
FTG (they didn't have one at the time) $70ish

It'd probably be a different colour and not fit the roof properly in an E series. AU/BA have curved roofs and the sunglasses holder is sorta contoured to it..
The AU/BA sunnies holder have plastic bracketing in the roofliner to support them.

Just a question, out of all of the AU/BA owners on here.. has anyone ever used the sunnies holer? I think its stupid. Not sure about the BA ones but the AU ones break, and the scratch your sunnies.

I was thinking about it, since a aftermarket HU in the tisssue box holder left me with very little space where I would normally keep my sunnies.

After I heard they break real easy I shelved the idea, for the time being.

Couldn't you reinforce the plastic bracket?

I use mine all the time, though its a bit of a pain in the a** when the cars been out in the sun and heated up your sunnies though.
You push in the leaver to release the sunny compartment, how are you guys breaking them?

Mind you a little down the track I would like to get a sunroof, and the sunnies holder will have to go

The Sunglasses holder is too narrow ... my sunnies don't fit in it.
A bloody waste really ... good idea ... if you could fit sunnies in it.

haha. u must have massive aviators or sumthin. My parents XR6 sunnies holder is great, never broken, works all the time. commonwhore ones are bulky...... dont like the look and probly wont go with the interior. as for the AUII ones, mine is good and hasnt had 1 slip, fits my aviators fine but maby urs are bigger.......

I have a fat head ... I admit that.
I have tried all different angles ... mine are just the $30 Cancer Council sunnies .... if they were a few mm narrower .. they'd fit.

I've used mine twice I think. I generally never have my sunnies off my person. So they end up in my desk draw at night, and come out in the morning.
