Luke, should have left the 2 inner ones , that would give a nice red glow on the needles.

here a picture of mine.

Image

The picture doesnt do it justice, its spor on to the XR colour and complements the XR interior nicely.

Ahh! Is that why I had two different types of LED to remove?

Yeah comes up real nice, I need to take a picture of my fog light switch since I converted it to XR Blue LED also.

I put a blue LED into the fog light switch a couple weeks ago also, looks nice and compliments the rest of the dash quite well when you turn the headlights on.

I would've liked to get the boot/fuel switches blue as well, but there doesn't seem to be any provision for that.

Fuel can be done using a Territory switch, but will require getting a new plug, a new outer holder and a switch.

..and splicing the 10 pin connection onto the Harness, and wiring up brand new illumination lines. The BA/BF Boot/Fuel plugs are only piddly little 2-pin connectors.

Well, since I've done the DZ upgrade, I always use the ICC button for TC (Hand is on the gearstick anyway, it's a finger-point operation now) - so that button on the Dash will get used for the in-cabin monitor switch shortly. And since there isn't a nice 'in cabin monitor' graphic for those switches, I guess it will be blank.

So all that's left is the fog-light switch. And I can't see that. But you're right, I'd forgotten all about it.

But the idea of enabling Boot/Fuel lid illumination is growing on me......

After all that, I finally got my hands on a spare switch surround to trial it.
