I installed a Blue Momo steering wheel into my BA XT today - looks sweet.

I have also just installed a XR dash but I need to have it reprogrammed as the TCS light stays on (and it shows about 30K less than my original).

Has anyone had this done by Ford and know how much it would approximately cost?

I rang Ford but got a lot of if and buts, so I thought I would ask here.

Cheers.

Well, just got an answer to my own question!
After a lengthy telephone call to Ford, they quoted $90 to re-program my XR dash.

BTW the blue backlight alone was worth the investment.

The blue turned out to bright with the camera.
It is actually a dark blue. Might see how day photo turns out.
Trying to get the blue XR leather seats now.

If your car is "Blueprint" that would look especially sweet.

Nice mod, looks good!

That looks great

Can you tell me how did you unplug the airbag?

I got the airbag unscrewed, just can't seem to unplug it!

Got Ford to do it for me - $45 to do the lot - I just supplied the gear.

Damn!

I only need to know how to unplug it. The wiring that is, I'm a bit worried I'll break something.

The rest I know how to do.

it's easy, unplug your battery (both terminals) and leave it sit for say an hour to be on the safe side, then undo your two torx bits on the back of the wheel and give the centre a gentle pull then there should be three plugs that are quick disconnect. all can only be connected one way and are colour coded.

Thanks, I managed to get the aibag off just not unplug it. After doing the EL I was trying to unplug the black connector like thing at the back of the wheel.
So three plug eh, I see a big white plug for the CC & Radio controls, are the 2 small orange things on the back of the air bag plugs?

When I get it off, I'll take some photos for anyone else who gets stuck!
