There is a bad smell of stale water in the car, I assuming it is the AC however I cannot locate the drain hole under the car to check it isn't blocked.

Any help or other ideas of where the smell could be coming from would be appreciated.

Car : 1997 Futura

Thank you!

Hi Bigbell,

Thanks I found it, Took it to my local garage to get the car lifted. Really isn't in an obvious place!

My sound proofing was covering it which didn't help.

I've been meaning to ask this for ages, I have the same problem. Do I have to fill it back up with anything?

hi

its not really a plug its just a drain hole for the condensation that builds up in your air con..but they do clog up with dirt sometimes..

here is a pic from the top.. there is a small pipe underneath this..

another place ACs generally tend to leak is on the firewall where the passanger puts his feet, just peel back the carpet and you can see
