They're done at 600dpi, be sure you use a program that'll recognise that, and a printer that can do 600dpi.

Yeah i printed bug's out @ 600dpi using microsoft photo editor (standard windows XP issue). Bug's templates should print at 17.30cm across and 10.02cm down....

Hey hyena (or anybody who knows).
As per the pic above posted by Hyena, In the bottom right of that cluster, the little thing that sais
"Punch out for 45188" Or somethin like that.
Whats this for ?
An addon to the cluster for a higher model is my guess, but whats the addon?

(Or could be lights or pressure guage or something)

Ace, dunno what the punch thing is. The gauges missing from the low series dash are actually at the top so I don't know what the go is there...

And where they like the narva inbuilt with the plastic casing?

I used 510 ohm resistors as per above.
I just bent up the legs on the resistors as show below, dropped them into the bulb holes (they fit perfectly) and solder to each contact (polarity as shown above) and bobs your uncle.

if you're using one of the templates from me or Bug, you don't need to change it, just make sure you print it out at 100%, not fit to page or something silly like that.

Should you want to make double sure... Go to the Image Size dialog, and it should be (for my template)
Image
The document size is the important bit.

which side of the LED is (+ and -)??
does it matter which side the resistor connects on to??
and does it matter which side of the LED is on the board in terms of the polarity as posted above??

Sorry for all the questions but i put 3 leds in tonight. 1 on the right middle side worked for about 10min then blew and the other 2 on the left of the dash worked for bout 20sec then blew and now my left side doesn't work at all. HELP DESPERATLY NEEDED

thanks Guys

The shorter leg with the flat side on the top of the diode is the cathode, or the negative. You can solder a resistor to either side, but it's probably best if you solder the resistors all the same way to help you remember (eg all on the positive leg)

The mask is used to ensure the areas you want dark are dark, and those which you want highlighted are bright. It lets the light through in the correct places, so i'd recommend you use them.

The test pics here: http://www.fordmods.com/forums/documents.php?doc=67 - specifically this one: http://www.fordmods.com/Images/dialdoco/IMG_1974.jpg
May shed some light on the issue. (haw haw haw)

Guys, does anyone else want a set of 8mm LEDs to do this dash conversion ? (or other projects? see my gallery, they look good in parkers :) )

I'm going back this afternoon to get some more for a few of the guys here, but after this I won't be back that way for a week or 2 so let me know now if you want any.

They're $15 delivered for 6x 8mm 14000 mcd LEDs and 6x 510 ohm resistors for running them off 12v
