Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum and am after some help with an idea I have regarding a dashboard conversion.

I have a 89' NA Fairlane fitted out with a 95' NF Fairlane interior (front and rear seats, door trims etc..). I'm now wondering if the NF, EL, EF style dashboard will fit neatly in place of my existing dash. I understand this would mean fitting a new instrument cluster, trip computer, climate control and other various buttons which I gather I'd need an auto elect to install.

If I can get my hands on a NF style dashboard shell I'm prepared to dismantle mine and give the conversion a shot, however would like to know if anyone else has tried this or heard of this mod?

Cheers.
Pete.

EF/EL dash fits without issue into an EA, so I fail to see why not.

Handbrake will be an issue being deleted from the dash and on the floor, the dash pod is different, so if you use the newer cluster will need newer computer to talk to it, then its a matter of sensors etc.

Depends how much you know, and can do yourself.

LowNA put EL dash into his NA.
Rmyers put EF dash and engine into his EA
Walkinshaw put EL dash into his EA

been done plenty of times, but involves a lot of work to be done properly.
