I brought a bottle of baby oil & have tried your trick & it works great on the switches, I have also tried it on the inside door handles & they come up great.

It's a pity that the switches are not UV stableised in the first place.

I have used Armoral with the UV protective... you do have to apply it, leave it a bit, then apply again... do this a few times.

I tested it on one side of the car as a comparision.

But its lookin a bit better now.
