hey everyone im new to this website and ive just recently picked up an ef fairmont for 1400 bucks, 240k on the clock, everythings mechanically sound and has been great since i got it 3 months ago... i was just wondering what are a few things i can do to it. ill post what ive done, and what i want for how much :)

what ive done: fusion enclosure sub, fusion encounter 6x9's, mid high range alpine headunit with usb n blutooth, green parkers, green neons in the footwells, blue l.e.d's in the cluster, seat covers. and thats pretty much it

what i want: i want it to sound better(maybe breaking the catalyst in the cat?), its stock height so i want it lower (not something crazy expensive though, im willing to lose a little comfortabilty) new 17 inch rims, 6 inch speakers for doors, 300-500 watt amp to power all speakers, and even just little visual things im open to all suggestions, i just want to start slow and then get up to the bigger stuff... sorry this post is big, but please feel free to comment :)

Also have a look in the technical documents section under resources at the top of the page.

Having a non-functional catalytic convertor is illegal. So if you tamper with it to defeat it's purpose you will get done.

Also...visually you can't see it, but if I was to sit behind you in traffic with my windows open or vents open...I can smell it.

By far the easiest one would be a k&n panel filter if you dont already have one, they are washable to so you dont have to replace them

Pod filters are good as they increase the overall surface area of the filter. However any overall power increase is very minimal (prob 1-2kw if that). They do, however, increase throttle response significantly if you can get some nice cold air to them. Plus they are around the same price as a good panel filter so there is a choice to which you can get.

Cheers

Sam

I have a k&n pod in my airbox, i brought an adaptor plate from autobarn which bolts inside the box i had to buy longer screws tho ,and have holes cut in the box so more air can get in, I noticed more throttle response and a bit more down low,

I had a similar set up in my auto ef and had a lot more down low, I would be crusing at 40 km and boot it and straight away it picked up and went no lag, but u won't notice it much in a manual
