thinking bout doing the climate control conversion soon
as I have an EF, do I have to purchase a kit from an EF?

Or can i use an EL setup as a whole, EL High series BEM, Loom, airbox, head unit etc...

or will the EL BEM still not work in an EF even with the EL loom in there?

You can use an EF or EL setup...just bear in mind the EF and EL BEMs are completely different, and you WILL need to use the correct dash loom. Apart from that, yea, use either!

You need the EF dash loom, the EL one won't work with an EF.

You can use either EF/EL CC units, But you must use the SAME solinoid pack with the CC unit
IE: EL CC unit with EL vacuum solinoid or EF CC with EF vacuum solinoid.

You can easily use your heatbox and I would recommend it.

I've done 2 of these conversions and its not as hard as most people think, nor is it majorly time consuming!

Allow a good w/e tho!

aparently the EL CC unit sends reverse signals to the vacuum solinoids compared to the EF,
It may only be one solinoid but however and you can correct it via a relay (its been posted b4) to cut a story down, you'll get demist and not face and feet might be something else. you cannot change the vacuum lines to correct as its electrical.

your best to use the 2 mated model units when adding to either ef/el!

yes I saw your nice photos when you done it!
Fantastic stuff eh?

Only thing I hate is.... cant have recirc without A/C and AUTO doesn't combine cold intake air with heat to regulate (uses A/C also) just the way it works... but I don't like running a/c when not needed!

none the less.... never regreted it!

cheers
Andrew

yea the RECIRC is a pain...but I dont know what you mean about the AUTO...You CAN use AUTO without A/C. Just turn AUTO on then press A/C. This keeps it in auto (unless you then manually adjust the fan, which turns auto off). I do that all the time...dont like to have A/C on all the time.
Not sure if thats what you meant?
