Post subject: CLOCK SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING /I MEAN ILLUMINATING

Ride: EF FALCON FUTURA

I HAVE A 96 FALCON FUTURA AND THE CLOCK UP IN MY DASH WAS WORKING GOOD ONE MINUTE AND THE NEXT WHEN I WENT TO LOOK AT IT, IT WASNT ILLUMINATED ANYMORE YOU CAN STILL FAINTLY SEE THE TIME BUT ONLY ON PERTICULAR ANGLES. IS THERE A GLOBE BEHIND IT THAT I CAN REPLACE TO GET IT WORKING AGAIN THANKYOU.

yes there is a globe behind it, but im not sure if thats the problem??
best to take out the globe put in a working globe and see if its the globe!

tried giving it a bit of a tap? mine sometimes goes out like you said also. the vibrations from the road/my long dirt driveway makes it do it. same with the clock in old lady's el, does the same thing. must be just fragile the way they are set-up inside... my 2 cents... may be useless info, or it might work...

yeah mate, there is a bulb in the ef/el ones. remove the dash fascia and take the clock out. ull see the bulb just pushed into the back

very very easy to fix.
