ok so i have made a center console lid and im using my ford stubby holder as the gear boot... just wondering if you guys would disown me if i use a VY Gear boot and knob... because it looks really nice and would suit...

as long as theres no holden logos on it i think it would suit your console. I dont think that the round ba/f ford one wouldnt suit your console IMO. I cant believe that i just suggested a holden part. sorry this little man made me do it

Nice work so far mate, I liked the idea you had (or copied - lol) with the radio, almost inspired me to do the same in my AU...but so far so good.

Only thing with the kill switch, is make sure it is not labelled. Not much point having a labelled kill switch in plain sight...

Best bet would actually be to conceal it all together (maybe a hidden door or something???)

primed and painted the rest of the MDF today... choose a gloss black and also did the dash surround in gloss black...

will do a doco on how to remove the dash center in a week or so...

still have vents to create some how and havnt even thought about the buttons yet...

Looks really good...nice work...although I would have made it a bit more curvy, not so boxy looking...esepcially inside the AU...but hey...that's me...

I agree, it looks good however it would suit an X-Series more than an AU

that wouldve had potential, IF you had cut out smooth flowing shapes, and covered all the mdf in padded leather
