yeh i've seen it, it is a rather neat looking mod.
if i remember correctly, the cup holders are out of a nissan bluebird. ebxr82nv, its a better beer than vb. rob i hope you didnt drink that beer while driving.

Thats an great mod, iv been drivin my brothers EB around an it s**t me not having cup holders, i dont know if i would put beer in my cup holder though lol.

Rob got the idea from me, i stole it from Ghia5L.
It's a U13 Bluebird cupholder.

lol, even had the same photo idea as me  My beer wasn't that much better though, uni budget applied back then 
Homad I'm afraid I'm more of an Itsuki than a Bunta Oh, here's a pic of the actual unit: 
And here's where you cut (in red, below). I used the "roof" to kind of half pinch the cupholders when sliding in/out, adds a little resistance. Also I used two of the four screws shown in the above pic, the two screws closer to the front. They merely pinched & gripped the cupholders in place.

I hate my EF's cupholders, they're so crap, the lid forces cups to lean forwards, the holder mechanism slips downwards, don't even THINK about a large thickshake from Maccas...

EF and EL cup holders Are easily fixed with a soldering iron. I believe snap found this out. I haven't had any probs scince.

Lol yeah there not the best, there only good for cans and 600ml bottles of coke, thats about it. But come on, they have cup holders its a must haha

MadMatt also showed a few of us SA blokes how to fix this on a cruise using a hairpin, not permanent but it stays in there and holds them up. |
