I just bought one of my mates a dashmat yesterday for $6 from the wreckers yesterday with the velcro tabs. How do you get them to stick to the dashboard of his EF fairmont?

they wouldn't stick onto mine. I used the tiniest drop of superglue in the end lol.

Lol my dash mat is just sitting there. It hasnt moved yet. Yes it is unsafe, but i tried the velcro, and it never stuck down. My dad had the same problem in his EL fairmont, the tpe wouldnt stick. He tried the tape that it came with, 3M double sided tape and something else, none of which worked for over 1 month before comming loose.

nothing will stick to the dash for long if you dont clean it off well first, when i was fitting them to new cars we used isopropyl alcohol swabs, but prepsol does the trick too

I cleaned the spots where I put my sticky back velcro with some metho.
Clean the area with some sort of solvent then put the sticky velcro on it. All will be sweet. |

Just fo down to supercrap and hrab a pack of auto velcro (really strong glue) then she'll be sweet.
dont use frigging superglue!! what happens when you take the mat off and want the velcro squares gone? |

1. don't plan on getting rid of the mat 2. if i do, like i said i used a TINY droplet, very unnoticeable 3. if the tiny spot worried me i'm sure i'd be able to rub it down/off or soemthing somehow. |
