Hey, I'm goin to the wreckers tomorrow to pull out a blend motor from an EL, i know how to get to it(ruffly) i just need to know what it is I"m looking for. I wont to pull it out myself to get some practice in getting it out so when I pull the dash in my car out i have a better idea of what I'm doin.

Didn't end up needing it, it just needed a kick. I took out the climate control unit. Then used a 12v battery and two wires to sent a little kick down the line and now she works fine.

that could possibly be what the diagnostic mode does on the climate control... my heaters didnt work at all, then i put it in diagnostics mode, it clicked and whirred for a few seconds, then reset itself. then the air that came out couldve cooked a chicken!

Why would you go to all the trouble replacing with a second hand bdm when they are a known common problem. Are new ones available and does anyone have any idea of price?
