my electric window button gets stuck when going down which is annoying when you realise when you stop the car and the window wont go up for a while. Any ideas how to fix??

the button.....push the button!! (personal joke!) yep the button sticks in the auto down position and after you notice and try to ues it...good luck, wont start to move the window again for a few seconds to a few minutes! did i mention its an ef fairmont ghia.

If it sticks in the autodown poition it probably trips the reset which can take 2 minutes to to reset itself AFTER you get the button unstuch

yea my EL fairmont does the same thing.. bloddy anoying!

Take the switch apart and really clean it up.
Mine does the opposite : It doesnt always lock in the auto down position
