ok so i read the tech doco on the climate control and i read what the E2 code means, then it says to enter control mode, the only problem is that i don't know how to this, the tech doco says:
To enter Monitor Mode (EF/EL/AU Models)
-Turn the Ignition switch to the "On" Position
-Press the “MODE”, “A/C”, and “AUTO” Buttons together
-Release the “MODE”, “A/C” Buttons together and the “AUTO” Button Last.
what is “MODE”, “A/C”, and “AUTOâ€, i know the first one is mode and the last is auto. but what is the middle one.
also i dont really know much about this stuff so any help on what to do would be much apprieciated.
oh yeah my car is a ef xr6 with the climate control conversion
thanks

It looks like to me

-Turn the Ignition switch to the "On" Position
-Press the (MODE), (A/C), and (AUTO) Buttons together
-Release the (MODE), (A/C) Buttons together and the (AUTO) Button Last.

A/C being air conditioner

Not quite sure on the 99.5% part as it is only an 0.05% to 100% it is working so should be fine

The fix will require the dash to be pulled back or removed as the blend door motor is mounted on top of the heater box and it may require the heater box to be removed so loss of coolant and A/C gas is required. The A/C will need to be done by an A/C specialist.

well, seeing as you have E2 on your diagnostic, and the blend door is 99.5% open, that suggests that your blend door motor has given up the ghost. as the other guy mentioned, the dash has to come out to get to it.

sending 12v direct through the blend door motor can sometimes zap it back to life, but its best to replace it.

Can you get blend door motors new? When people replace them is it with second hand ones?
