nugger, i was hoping that the ed classic or xr's might have come with only front power windows like the el xr's did

Well if it's only the switchgear that is an issue, you can do something like this:

What type of switches have you used there? Are they the rear door switches off the EB/ED series? including the use of the sorround for them?

They're EF switches and surrounds, and the console is XH (similar to EA-ED but not exactly).
You could use earlier switches and surrounds.
