hey guys

ever sense i change my door handles to EL ones ive had problems with my car locking

it will go down and lock sometimes and then i come back to the car and its unlocked

and sometime it will lock and then unlock stright away

there all new actators well only 2 years old less then 20,000km done in the car

anyone got any ideas

could be that the rods that connect the handle to the actuator are different lengths from ED to EL? Meaning that when you fit EL handles you may also need to fit EL actuator rods as well :?:

hmmm thats a good idea ,but ive done it in 2 cars now ,maybe ive connect it to low down or to far up ,i never thought of that i'll check it out

i had the same problem with my EB. I stopped using the remote and started using the key to lock it and the problem stopped. Only done it a couple of times now in the last 2 years, as compared to several times a week b4.

Did you put the buttons back on when the doors were locked? If not, the buttons are too far down on one of the front doors.
