I have bought those Narva LED Globes in an attempt to fix the blkown ones I ahd.

I also want to change hte odometer readout to blue, but if I plug the globe in it comes out with a pale readout. How do I make it blue, do I need to remove a filter? If so how?

I ahve to have it working by Monday morning for work.

Changing the filter to blue would be mandatory (the doco explains) - I assume you bought blue LED globes, try these first, if not bright enough, you may have to opt for white. If you don't finish in time, go back temporarily to the std globes. You might want to try Data_mine's frosting the LED's for better diffusion. I've found snipping off the LED lens helps in this respect also.
I did try blue LED's in the warning captions, and orange captions such as CHECK ABS, etc don't come up well at all - they do come up fine with white LEDS (I went to LEDS in these mainly for reliability, as normal globes were failing occasionally).
Hope this helps . . . .

That might be a wise move, particularly if you need the car the next day. Best to give yourself a free day and night, just to see how it looks in the dark, and just in case you have hassles. Chunkz has posted the correct doco. As I say, I don't think you'll get a satisfactory result by sticking with the orange filter. IIRC, you'll need to remove the cluster front clear plastic cover, along with the black instrument surround. Undo the rear screws that hold the circuit card assy and pull it out of the cluster back. The plastic assy with the odometer and centre captions can then be removed (undo 4 screws on the back), without having to remove the gauges, etc. You can reattach this to the circuit board for testing without putting the whole thing back together, just in case you want to swap filter cards.

Its easy to pull the filter, only 4 screws to get at it. I did mine in about 5 mins, byut they are those stupid torx screws, and i used the narva globes. You need to file the top of the globe so it is flat and then insert a piece of white paper. the reason you file the globe flat is so you dont get a spot on the odo.
