I've been trying to hook up the fog light light on my cluster. Now I wa put the globe in (tested the globe and it was good), I ran the wire, and didn't work. So I opened the cluster up and checked the diode, like the Technical Document says is missing for EL's, anyways, wasn't one there, so I've fitted one (checked and it's definately the right way). still not working, any ideas?
I've already checked the wire connection to the cluster plug, and checked that the trigger wire is getting power. It's got me stumped now, but it's holding me up on puttin gthe dash back in.

The cluster you sold me was that EF or EL? Had EF dials and needles, but was missing the diode, so I've added it as the light wasn't working. VDO sticker on it just says Ghia or something similar.
