Ok. My last EF was a series 2 and the surround was held in by 1 press clip and one screw. On my current series one with the hidden lighter there is no press clip just two screws. That is probably your problem. Trying to press that clip into a screw hole. Unscrew the male press clip in the dash and use two screws instead.

cheers
Scott

I'm pretty sure they'll all fit as long as its EF/EL. Where exactly isn't it fitting in? You got get the little metal bit behind the cig lighter to slot in, might have to use a bit of force.

Pretty sure series one and two are different. As I said above my series two used one screw, my series one uses two.

cheers

your right, if you look at the pic, that one has two screw holes making it harder to fit to a later model then fitting the newer style to a older car
