Hi guys.. my first post on this site. It has been great and have done a few mods to my EF. Thanks to all who share info.

One thing I cannot figure out is removing the handbrake button (I want to change it from black to chrome). I have been told that you simply unscrew it. What mine does though is it goes to unscrew, it does one full turn then locks. The same thing happens if I turn it clockwise or anti clockwise.

Am I doing something wrong?

Yeah just keep undoing it, it just the way the boot holds it a bit funny, if you feel the need you can take off the boot by removing a bolt or 2 from the drivers seat that'll allow you to get the lower half or the boot out it may seem a little tough though as it's velcroed to the carpet then wedged under the seat rails, but it just pulls straight up and off.
