Fit an EF Falcon Steering Wheel and Column into a ED Falcon??????????? Any ideas??????????

it'll fit if you take the steering rack with it.

The other issue is that the bolts where the column mounts up to the dash/pedal box are spaced differently, so you will have to mod that too.

i agree with ben there is nothing to gain from this except maybe a air bag that wont work in the ed.
if you want the later combination swich (blinker/wiper switch)it can be modified to fit... |

thats a good reason! Yes the standard EB wheel is ugly, but so is the standard EF/EL wheel. However an aftermarket sports wheel is sooo nice. BenJ

No need for any change to anything My mate has fitted an F6 typhoon steering wheel directly to his EF Falcon futura ! didn't do any major mods what so ever. DIRECT FIT ! if that answers all your questions !

Get your mate to fit his F6 wheel to an ED and I'll bet he will have problems. K frame rack and column changed at EF and are not a direct replacement on previous models, but can be adapted to fit as a package. |

Pull the collapsible steering column apart and then mount the EF upper half onto the ED lower half. Your steering wheel will now be off centre but this can be rectified by reposititioning the worm in your steering rack. Big job, but easier than swapping crossmembers. Mine was also a V8 so I was keen to keep all my V8 spec stuff in the car. I've got pictures of the completed conversion and I'm very pleased with it.
