Hello every1. For the past 3 months my car has been sitting in my garage as i've pulled the entire interior out, painted, dyed, re trimmed, re carpeted, re wired and then put most of it back in. Ive got about 20 cuts on my hands and have gone thru many many headaches. But i'm very happy with the outcome so far.

The only part that i've not been able to remove so far is the steering wheel. I loosened the torx bolt but left it in a bit so i wouldn't sufferer a broken nose but i just can pull the damn thing off. I've wiggled and pulled it and so have all my mates but it just wont budge! I tried bit of silicon spray to loosen it up but no luck still.

The reason i need to remove the wheel so badly is that it is the only grey part left in the car as well as the plastic behind it and needs to be replaced with my new 1.

Has ne1 else had this problem b4? What can i do?

I used a puller that bolts on and when you get heaps of pressure on the centre bolt give it a swift hit with a 4 pound fine ajusting hammer

So far you are doing well.

I have changed a couple of these wheels over before, but never had to use any degreaser spray.

The trick is to tap the steering wheel rim away from the dash, working in a circular motion. Use both of your hands, just tap with your palms and the wheel should come off.

Then ease the wheel back and it should come off, otherwise Ymonty can help you, or I can.....

Let us know how you get along.
